I looked at the fire wall and it was very confusing have many hoses i tries to flush two different approach the main in out hose and the bypass hose.

Can i just flush the core without flushing the radiator.
Disconnect both hoses that go to the heater core from either end the end at the heater core or the end at the water pump manifold radiator etc using a garden hose preferably with a hose repair end attached to plug into the hose or a short piece of hose cut off to connect to the heater core run water in each direction through the heater core until water runs clear then reverse.
Here we go i have been having heat issue for about five years with my 99 taurus 2 water pumps and many engine flushes and it still came out warm.
That sludge builds up on the bottom of it and doesnt flow good enough to give it sufficient heat which makes sense also and i figured if im gonna do that i might as well clean out the whole system at the same time so maybe after reading the last post maybe i.

This weekend i was determined to fix it and heres what i did and it worked i disconnected the hoses coming from heater core and flush the hell out of it then a mechanic whose has been using this technique for years told me to flush out heater.
By the way there is a heater core bypass hose.

Well the reason i want to flush the heater core is because i have been told and have read that its a common problem with the taurus.
And is there any cleaning chemicals on the market to boil the core out with br.
You may want to remove the two tee fittings and use a 5 8 hose splicer so that the flush passes through the heater core at full force.
It is connected to the two heater core hoses near the firewall.
